Norfolk Virginia’s Ocean View Elementary School im the Norfolk public school district serves the children in grades pre-kindergarten through grade 5. With a 490 student enrollment, it has a 14:1 student-teacher ratio. They have shown exemplary standardized test scores by consistently testing the above the state average in every grade level.
In 2008 the U.S. Department of Education named Ocean View a “No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School”. This award is given to less than 300 schools nationwide for academic excellence and for schools exhibiting dramatic increases in their standardized test scores.
